How we approach engineering
Engineering is more than writing code
Technical decisions have long-term consequences. We try to make choices that are easy to understand, easy to maintain, and easy to change — because requirements always evolve.
We prefer boring, proven technology over novel solutions unless there's a genuine reason. PostgreSQL over a trendy NoSQL database when relational data fits. Server-rendered HTML over a complex SPA when interactivity isn't required.
Security is built in from the beginning — not added as a final layer. Access control, input validation, audit logging, and encryption are standard practices across all projects.
Infrastructure is designed to be operated by a real team. That means observability, meaningful alerts, clear deployment processes, and documentation that explains why decisions were made, not just what was built.
