EdTech / Peer Learning Platform
XchangeHub
Trade skills with people like you — no fees, no gatekeepers.

01 — The Problem
What we were solving
Access to skill development in India is still largely gated by cost, geography, and institutional credentials. Learners who have real skills to offer have no structured way to trade them for skills they need — and no platform to build a verified record of what they can do.
02 — The Approach
How we approached it
We designed XchangeHub around a simple idea: every person already has something worth teaching. The product needed to make skill exchange feel natural and trustworthy, while being genuinely accessible on mobile, low-data connections, and in Indian languages.
03 — What We Built
What we built
A peer-to-peer skill exchange platform where users list what they can teach, find peers whose skills complement their own, and complete exchanges that build a verified portfolio. Core features include a skill matching system, two-way trust ratings, peer endorsements, and shareable learning portfolios — built mobile-first for India's next generation of learners.

04 — Outcome
What we achieved
A working platform with skill discovery, peer matching, session management, and portfolio features. The product gives learners a way to build and prove capability without paying for courses or needing institutional backing.
05 — Technology
Stack used
06 — Reflection
What we learned
Building for real access meant confronting assumptions about who software is made for. Designing for low-data mobile environments and diverse Indian language contexts changed almost every product decision — and produced a cleaner, more focused product than an unconstrained brief would have.
